The Wellbeing Matters Podcast with TP

As a Travelling Therapeutic Practitioner working with 5-18 year olds, parents are always asking me what wellbeing services and provisions are out there for their children and for themselves. There are so many people doing amazing work to support children and their families so these episodes explore what people do and why they do it. Real people. Real stories. Lived experiences. The faces behind the amazing wellbeing services and provisions that exist. We are joining the dots and creating a network - a community of amazing people in Swindon & Wiltshire. So come and tell me your story.

I had a lovely afternoon talking to the gorgeous Jade about her amazing work with Hunts Scholars & her hard work at Inspire Enrichment CIC which is now a year old! Inspire Enrichment CIC provides opportunities for young people (aged 5-25) to explore skills and personal development through creative enrichment sessions such as Photography , Media Make up, D&D to name a few. But it’s so much more than that. Going to these sessions teaches so many life skills that they can take forward. I have a feeling that Jade is going to be someone who these young people will never forget long after they finish their time at Inspire Enrichment.

I first became aware of Kerise when I began following her work on the Inclusion Support Hub. Kerise was diagnosed 7 years ago Austistic and ADHD and has spent those years since, taking that time to get to know her true self, supporting her son through his diagnosis at aged 4 and having to make the decision to Home school him PLUS setting up amazing supportive models to support parents and businesses. Kerise wears many hats and is extremely inspirational to many people and she feels empowered to do so much more….

I went to the gorgeous Zen Den today to see lovely Sam.
Sam talked about her time at school, thriving academically verses her time in college where her struggles surfaced. Working her way through various jobs to then finding her true calling and getting a late diagnosis of, as she suspected ADHD. Sam spoke about her new venture Omni Roots Hub CIC. Working with teens, teaching meditation, breathwork and yoga. Teaching techniques to help support them through adolescence. This is an exciting time for Sam!

I met with the lovely Lou today. I didn’t know Lou personally but we have a mutual friend who put us in contact with each other. Lou runs Moon on a Stick - she is a holistic therapist running her business in Swindon. But she is so much more than that. She has a beautiful energy and I am so privileged to have spent this time with her, discussing  not just her business, but what it’s like to be a parent carer, her part in ‘mums on a mission’ and what it was like growing up with an alcoholic mother. This is an extremely honest and moving account of Lou’s life.  A wonderful and inspiring woman.
