The Wellbeing Matters Podcast with TP
As a Travelling Therapeutic Practitioner working with 5-18 year olds, parents are always asking me what wellbeing services and provisions are out there for their children and for themselves. There are so many people doing amazing work to support children and their families so these episodes explore what people do and why they do it. Real people. Real stories. Lived experiences. The faces behind the amazing wellbeing services and provisions that exist. We are joining the dots and creating a network - a community of amazing people in Swindon & Wiltshire. So come and tell me your story.

They have a proven track record of engaging, motivating and progressing young people into education, work, or self-employment - working with schools, colleges and universities both locally and internationally, to provide bespoke enterprise and employability-based workshops, training and development programmes.
Extremely motivated and passionate meeting children and their families where they are and being able to relate to their challenges and support them on their next chapter.

I met with Family Enrichment Services today. They are a wonderful CIC doing amazing work in their community.
Enriching ethnic minority families by helping them access support for their children with special education needs and mental health difficulties. Having a wealth of knowledge between them both personally and professionally. The support that FES provide is invaluable and inspiring. They are continually working hard to help bridge the gap to help families understand the support that can be provided for them and also providing training for schools on how best to support families. https://familyenrichmentservices.com

Today I was very honoured to have Jeff Tucker co-founder of Best Mates at my house to record the next episode on the podcast.
A simple concept but SO impactful. They are doing Stirling work. What a charity to be a part of.
Here is what Best Mates is all about ….
Having all been through tough times, it was apparent that seeking help with ease from readily available services was not as easy as it sounds. It takes courage, confidence, and knowhow to take those steps and that is of course if you know where to turn.So that is where we come in –
We continually recruit volunteers that we call “Mates” these are people who have ALL been through their own unique situations, people who have managed to navigate and seek the help they have needed to get their lives back on track.
When you reach out to us and tell us what you are going through we will then match you up with one of our “Mates” who will make contact and spend time to meet up or talk over the phone to allow a non-judgemental conversation, but full of understanding and information of what they did to pull themselves out of their situation.
They will be there to guide and support you and help to change your life for the better.
Have a listen …

I had a fab time visiting Rachel and some of the other ladies at The Beauty Source and Wellbeing at the Barn today in Cricklade. Absolutely gorgeous setting and a place that I worked at for a while last year. There are so many women offering all types of wellbeing services and I was able to take some time to talk to 4 of them today about what they do and why they set up.
